Subject: Implementation of the Common Order of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Hyderabad Bench, dated 09.02.2022, in OA Nos. 194/2020 (filed by Sh. PVS Prakasa Rao & 80 others) and OA No. 195/2020 (filed by Sh. Manmadha Rao & 52 others) as upheld by the Hon'ble High Court of Hyderabad order dated 29.08.2023 in WP No. 9489 & 9905 of 2023 - reg.

Sir/Madam,

This refers to the CP. No. 354/2024 in OA No. 195/2020 filed by Shri M Manmadha Rao & 52 ors and CP No. 353/2024 in OA No. 194/2020 filed by Shri P V S Prakasa Rao & ors regarding grant of grade pay of Rs. 4800/- to Assistant Superintendent of Posts (ASP) and GP 5400/- in PB-2 to Superintendent of Posts in 6th CPC regime (with effect from 01.01.2006 to 31.12.2015).

  1. The aforesaid matter has been examined in consultation with the nodal Departments i.e. Department of Legal Affairs (DoLA), Ministry of Law and Department of Expenditure (DoE), Ministry of Finance. The Department of Expenditure vide ID Note No. 6(7)/E.III(B)/2010 dated 30.05.2025 has agreed to implement the Common Order of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Hyderabad Bench, dated 09.02.2022, in OA Nos. 194/2020 (filed by Sh. PVS Prakasa Rao & 80 others) and OA No. 195/2020 (filed by Sh. Manmadha Rao & 52 others), in respect of applicants only.

  2. Accordingly, the approval of the competent authority is hereby conveyed for necessary compliance. Additionally, it is also requested to cause filing of a compliance affidavit in consultation with the Govt. Counsel before the next hearing scheduled for 05.06.2025 to avoid any legal complications. This office may be apprised of the action taken and details of hearing.
