Secretary BSNL/PSU BPS requests for sanction of long pending Covid-19 cases of Ahmedabad Telecom District, Ahmedabad

Sub: A request to accord your approval for sanction for long pending Covid-19 cases of Ahmedabad Telecom District, Ahmedabad.

Respected Sir,

1. We enclose herewith a copy of Notice issued by your office on 25.03.2023 inviting applications from the BSNL Pensioners for their long pending medical bills.

2. We were happy to know that in the said Medical Adalat Total 161 cases were received by the Circle Office through email. Out of these, 16 were already paid, 11 were processed/approved and waiting for fund, 24 cases were under process.

3. In the meeting, first issue of pending Covid-19 cases was discussed and it was decided by your honour that all Covid-19 cases will be treated as Emergent cases, as per BSNLMRS guidelines dated 28.02.2003/23.08.2006 treating them under indoor medical treatment under emergency in non-empanelled Hospital as per CGHS Rates.

4. Sir, from Ahmedabad Telecom District, we have received the representations that their cases are still pending and despite their frequent reminder/visits, they could not get any satisfactory reply. We furnish herewith the details of such cases received by us with a request that your office will finalize the cases at the earliest.

A. Case of Shri A.M. Makwana, retired CSS, HR No;80073193, A.T.D. Ahmedabad : He was admitted in AASHKA HOSPITALS LTD. Gandhinagar on 01.12.2020 and discharged on 07.12.2020. He was treated for Covid Positive and has submitted his claim to the o/o the Pr. GM Ahmedabad on 02.02.2021 under clear receipt for Rs.1,96,616.00 only. 

B. Second case is of Shri Dashrathbhai H. Prajapati : Retired T.T. H.R. No: 198317489, o/o PGM ATD Ahmedabad. He was admitted in Hospital for the treatment of Covid-19 for hospitalization to Chandra-Mani Hospital, Girdharnagar, Shahibag, Ahmedabad as Indoor Patient from 23.08.2020 to 31.08.2020 FOR Covid-19 treatment. He has submitted his claim for Rs.1,40,000.00 only. (copy of his reminder dated 30.11.2023 enclosed).

Since the pensioners have submitted their claims and waiting for the sanction of their claims considering it as emergent cases and sanction as per CGHS Rates, we request you to kindly cause early sanction of these cases.
