History of Digital life certificate for pensioners

The annual life certificate, or Jeevan Pramaan Patra, is required to be filed by November 30, 2023, for individuals receiving government pensions. A pensioner can submit their yearly life certificate in six different methods. Pensioners have access to the Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan), a digital service with biometric assistance. Rather than going to the disbursing agency's office to provide a physical life certificate, they can generate DLC using the Aadhaar-enabled biometric authentication approach.

The government of India introduced "Jeevan Pramaan" on November 10th, 2014, a "Aadhaar based Digital Life Certificate" for pensioners.

Pensioners can use their Aadhaar number and other pension information related to their pension bank account to biom ..

Pensioners can use their Aadhaar number and other pension information related to their pension bank account to biometrically authenticate their life certificates in real time by visiting a nearby CSC centre, Bank Branch, or any Government office whose details are provided under "locate centre" on jeevanpramaan.gov.in.

The transaction id will be provided in a text message sent to the pensioner's mobile device following the successful submission of the digital life certificate. With the help of this transaction id, pensioners can download a computer-generated life certificate for their records at jeevanpramaan.gov.in.

The digital life certificate given by the pensioner can only be confirmed when pensioners' accounts are seeded with their Aadhaar Number because the entire procedure is essentially Aadhaar based.
