Secy. General BPS, S.C.Maheshwari visits Lucknow
On 30th March Secy. Genl. BPS S.C.
Maheshwari attended the large gathering of Rly pensioners at the Annual
conference of Rly Pensioners organization Lucknow Dr Dinesh Sharma Mayor of
Lucknow was the chief guest & Lok Sabha member from Lucknow Sh Lalji Tanden
was the guest of honour. Sr DPO & Sr DMO represented N.Rly. LKO
Division.
While young Mayor pledged allout support for the cause of Sr.
Citizens of Lucknow, the veteran MP assured his support for
Pensioners. Speaking on the occasion Secy Genl Bharat Pensioners Samaj
said,
“When ‘I’ is replaced by ‘we’ even ‘illness’ becomes wellness.
We cannot predict future. But can create it.
To do so it needs
inclusiveness and consensus. In this age of Globalization & digitalization
we cannot afford to be 'individualist'
As issues & problems
i.e
1 Financial security
i.e. Retirement benefits inclusive of statuary Pension and security
of pension & savings against inflation & market risks.
2. Health care i.e.
cashless hassle free & within easy reach medical care with adequate Fixed
medical allowance in lieu of OPD facility.
3. Social security &
Travel facilities, to avoid disrespect & isolation in old age.
4. Physical security
against abuse & crimes
Are common for all
Pensioners, Bharat Pensioners Samaj speaks not only for Rly. Pensioners but for
the entire community of Indian Pensioners!
Explaining
in details the activities of Bharat Pensioners Samaj he assured that BPS will
continue to fight tooth & nail for Parity between pre & post 2006
Pensioners, removal of disparities within pre 2006 pensioners, raising of
FMA to Rs 1200/- Merger of 50% DR as DP , better & hassle free medical
facilities, Equal application of new provisions to both pre as well post
2006 retirees & restoration of commuted portion of Pension in 12 year
