The National Conference on Ageing in India was successfully held on 1st August 2025 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The event brought together policymakers, experts, and civil society representatives to discuss critical issues concerning senior citizens in India, including health, digital inclusion, and social empowerment.

Shri V. Srinivas delivered an insightful address focused on the digital transformation in pension administration, particularly highlighting initiatives such as:

·         Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan)

·         Anubhav Awards for recognizing post-retirement contributions

·         Swift grievance redressal mechanisms for pensioners

He fondly remembered Late Shri S. C. Maheshwari Ji, former Secretary General of Bharat Pensioners Samaj, acknowledging his extraordinary contribution in ensuring that government circulars and updates reached over 11 lakh pensioners within minutes through digital platforms. His visionary approach greatly enhanced communication and trust between pensioners and the government.
