PROBLEMS FACED BY EMPLOYEES DUE TO COVID-19

598. DR. V. SIVADASAN:

Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:

(a) whether Government has the data of Railway employees who have been affected by COVID-19, if so, the zone-wise data;

(b) whether Government has the data of Railway employees who have lost their life due to COVID-19, if so, the zone-wise data;

(c) whether Government intends to conduct special vaccination drives for Railway employees, if so, the details thereof; and

(d) whether Government provided any kind of financial or recruitment help to the family members of Railway employees, who have died due to COVID-19, if so, the zone- wise data?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. The zone-wise details of number of Railway employees who have been found positive and those who died due to COVID-19 is as follows:

(c): Yes, Sir. Sufficient number of vaccination centres have been established and staff has been deployed for vaccination drive in Railways. Every effort is being made to vaccinate all the Railway employees at the earliest subject to availability of vaccine doses and willingness of the employees to get vaccinated. Of the total Railway employees, 2,34,184 employees have been fully vaccinated and 8,63,868 have been administered single dose.

(d): The zone-wise details of number of cases in which settlement dues and compassionate ground appointments have been finalised in respect of deaths due to COVID-19 are as follows:
