OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: : Grant of notional increment on 1st July/1st January to the employees who retired from Central Govt. service on 30th June /31st December respectively for the purpose of calculating their pensionary benefit-regarding.
Kindly refer to this department earlier OM No. 36-03/2019-Pen(T) dated 18.10.2024 on the subject cited above. The undersigned is directed to circulate herewith DoP&T OM No.19/116/2024-Pers.Pol. (Pay) (Pt) dated 20.05.2025 to all concerned for information and necessary action.
2. In continuation of above, as doubt has arisen on the cut oft year of retirement of DoT employees to be considered for the aforesaid purpose, the matter was brought before the Competent Authority. After careful consideration of the DoPT OM No.19/116/2024-Pers.PoI. (Pay) (Pt) dated 20.05.2025, it has been decided that the Notional Increment, as it was due on 1st January/1st July in favour of all the eligible employees, should be drawn in favour of all the eligible retired employees/third parties, who had retired/are retiring from DoT service w.e.f. 01.01.2006 i.e., the date of implementation of 6th CPC and w.e.f. 01.01.2016 i.e. the date of Implementation of 7th CPC, wherein two dates of grant of increment as on 1st January/1st July of every year was introduced. However, actual monetary benefit should be given w.e.f. 01 .05.2023.
