Ref:- (i) Ministry of H&FW’s OM No.Zl 5025/12/2020/DI R/CGHS dated 27.03.2020, 29.04.2020 and 29.05.2020 (copy enclosed). (ii) Railway Board’s letter No.28.03.2020,29.03.2020 & 05.05.2020. 
In reference to Board's letters referred above, it was intimated that the instruction issued vide Ministry of Health and Family Welfare OM No.Z I5025/12/2020/D1R/CGHS dated 27.03.2020 was applicable to Railway medical beneficiaries upto 30.04.2020. This was further extended upto 31.05.2020.
 Now Ministry of H&FW vide its OM No.Zl 5025/12/2020/DIR/CGHS dated 29.05.2020 have extended the provision upto 31.07.2020. The instruction issued by Ministry of H&FW shall also apply to railway medical beneficiaries till 31.07.2020. It  is  also  clarified  that  railway  health  facilities  are  functional  and  railway  medical beneficiaries also have the option to collect medicines through railway health facilities as per normal practice, instead of purchasing from market.
This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Railway Board.
