Amend the definition of family under CCS (Pension )Rules 1972 Rule 54 (14)(b) to include widowed dependent daughter-in-law

Sir,
Under Section-19 of Hindu Adoption and maintenance act 1956 ; daughter-in-law is entitled to be maintained after the death of her husband by her father-in-law. She is held to be dependent on father-in-law under section 21(vii) of the said Act. As such GOI-DOPPW may amend the definition of family under CCS (Pension )Rules 1972 Rule 54 (14)(b) to include widowed dependent daughter-in-law, as law is sacrosanct and rules have to be in synchronization with it.
