A copy of department of Pension & Pensioners ‘Welfare (DOP&PW)’s
O.M No. 1/4/2016-P&PW(F) dated 11th November, 2016 on the above
subject is enclosed for information and compliance. This instruction shall
apply mutatis mutandis on the Railways also. CCS (Extraordinary Pension) Rules,
1972, correspond to Railway Services (Extraordinary Pension) Rules, 1993 and
DOP&PW’s OM dated 04.08.2016 referred to in the enclosed O.M., was
circulated on Railways vide letter of even number dated 10.08.2016
