Withdrawal by Empanelled Hospitals from ECHS

Press Information Bureau  Government of India Ministry of Defence 08-March-2016 13:19 IST Withdrawal by Empanelled Hospitals from ECHS  Some empanelled hospitals have stopped providing services citing reasons of delayed payments, low CGHS rates of treatment etc. 407 empanelled hospitals have not renewed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Ex-Servicemen Contributory Scheme over the time.  The Government has received complaints from Ex-Servicemen regarding non-admission of patients by hospitals demanding advance payments. Action, such as show cause notice to the concerned hospitals to explain reasons for asking advance payment, direction to refund the advance payment, stoppage of referral to the defaulter hospitals and warning to desist from such action else face dis-empanelment is taken by the Government.  This information was given by Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply to Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar in Rajya Sabha ...

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM No.18/26/2011-Estt (Pay-I) dated 6th February, 2014 wherein certain instructions have been issued to deal with the issue of recovery of wrongful / excess payments made to Government servants in view of the law declared by Courts, particularly, in the case of Chandi Prasad Uniyal And Ors. vs. State of Uttarakhand And ors., 2012 AIR SCW 4 742, (2012) 8 SCC 417. The expectation of future Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees and Dearness Relief for Pensioners from the month of July, 2016 is on air after the releasing of January, 2016 All Indian Consumer Price (Industrial Workers) Index Number (AICPIN) by the Labour Bureau.  The All-India CPI-IW for January, 2016 remained stationary at 269 (two hundred and sixty nine). It is the starting phase of the calculation of expected DA/DR from the month of July, 2016.  It also mentioned that the in DA/DR from Jan, 2016, which is calculated to be 125% with 6% increase is yet to be announced by the Govt. and on other hand it is already included in Fitment Formula of new pay matrix introduced by Seventh Pay Commission to be implemented from 1st Jan, 2016. The question whether the increase in 6th CPC DA/DR from Jan, 2016 will announced by Govt or the new pay/pension structure with zero percent DA/DR from Jan, 2016 will be implemented from 1st April, 2016, the future will tell this. ...
