Delegates representing  Pensioners Associations of different disciplines  from across the country

As scheduled, after registration of delegates, flag hoisting followed by Vande Matram & Breakfast, delegates took their seats in the community Hall of N.Rly in Rly Colony ‘B’ block at 9.30 hrs.
VP R.N.Tirpathi invited dignitaries  to take seat on the dias. In the absence of Shyam Sunder President BPS, K.C.Pipal Wkg President was requested to preside over the AGM. AGM was inaugurated jointly by K.C.Pipal Wkg President, Secy General S.C.Maheshwari & Chairman reception committee S. Bhajnik Singh. After  paying homage to the departed Souls, chairman reception committee S. Bhajnik Singh read the welcome address. Messages from President Shyam Sunder & Joint Secy. DOP &PW were read out. Bimalendu Chakaraborty Secy Railway BPS then took the microphone to anchor the event. Pending arrival of Chief Guest Dr Raj Kumar Verka Vice Chairman National Commission of SC & OBC and  Spl. Guest of Honor Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra Genl Secy NCJCM (staff side), proceedings were continued & 14 Platinum age brotherhood members were honored. Secy Genl. was invited to place his report before the house for discussion and the same was placed before the house as amended after declaration of 7th CPC recommendations,  explaining short comings in  recommendations and the action proposed to be taken. Chief Guest & Spl Guest of honor arrived at 11.30 hrs and they were escorted to dias. They were accorded warm welcome, after which they gave away BPS PMES  awards 2015 to the associations listed hereunder :
1.Smt Daya Maheshwari Memorial Trophy with Rs 5000/ cash &citation to KTPPA Bangalore(Karnataka)
2. Sh. S.P.Vatta Memorial Trophy with Rs5000/ cash & citation to NFRPA Guwahati . (Assam)
3. Railway Pensioners Association Kollam (Kerela) Rs3000/cash and citation
4.UP Govt. Secretariat Pensioners Welfare Association Lucknow Rs 2000/ Cash and citation.
 Chief Guest while addressing the large representative audience assured that he will always be available to help Pensioners/Family pensioners . Comrade Mishra explained in detail the short comings of 7th CPC & the line of action to be adopted to handle the issues. He also sought cooperation of the house, of which he was readily assured. There after Chief guest & Spl Guest of honour released the  Souvenir to commemorate the event. After the departure of the Chief guest & the Spl Guest of Honor, Secy.Genl. presented audited accounts or the year 2014-15,Estimate of income & Expenditure for the year 2015-16 extending upto next AGM and proposed  continuance of Auditors M/s D & SM. All these were approved unanimously. This was followed by presentation of Draft resolutions by Sh Bimalendu Chakraborty BPS Secy.(Rly) who also invited Delegates to discuss. House adjoined for Lunch at about 13.45 hrs & reassembled at 14.45 hrs. Secy’s report was passed unanimously without any amendments. Draft resolutions after addition of two resolutions i.e. one by BPS Secy(Rly) Bimalendu Chakraborty & 2nd by All India Fed of Retd University and College Teachers Orgns,(TN) were approved.
Introduction of proposed amendments to BPS Rules & Regulations by Editor Sh M M Kapur was stopped  mid-way by wkg president though these proposed amendments were circulated much in advance by e. mail to MC office bearers & members and had the approval of president BPS & the correction proposed by wkg president in MC meeting on 28.11.015 duly incorporated.  Wkg president, while summing up, appreciated the working of present Secy Genl & expressed hope that rest of his tenure  will not face any obstruction from an
y one.
AGM concluded with vote of thanks & singing of National Anthem. Full text of resolutions passed will be published in the next issue of ‘Bharat Pension’
