“Pensioners set to pay dirt after Delhi HC order”
(Mail Today 06.05.2013 Page 9)
It is rather unfortunate that an Incorrect interpretation of Delhi High Court judgment in writ petition No. 1535 of 2012 (decided on 29.4.2013) has been reported by Mail Today dated 06.05.2013(page 9)under the heading “Pensioners set to pay dirt after Delhi HC order”
Unknowing the fact that the entire judgment is about ‘what should be the minimum pension/family pension for each corresponding pre 2006 scale after implementation of 6th CPC. your popular News Paper has written that pension of CG & State Govt; pensioners will almost double-This is totally in correct my dear editor ! ‘Bharat Pensioners Samaj’ resents this totally incorrect projection. Except the lucky those (Director & above level) who have been placed in Pay Band 4 in all other scales below that it will marginally raise the Pension/Family pension of only 5 to 7% of pensioners /family pensioners. In fact 6th CPC too after merging Dearness relief as on 31.12 2005 added only 40% of their existing pension .
Your reporting has only deepened the wounds of this neglected section of C.G./State Govt. Pensioners & family pensioners.
